May. 24th, 2002 01:27 pmI never received the Melissa virus. I never received the I Love You virus. I've never been forwarded a copy of the Nieman Marcus cookie recipe by a friend who thought it was for real.
But by golly, today I've joined the Internet Community in full. I got a Nigerian scam solicitation in my inbox. I feel so much more a part of things now.

Date: 2002-05-24 07:04 pm (UTC)Just for funsies go to that Salon link, or simply go to this handy pre-formatted google search --- http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&querytime=g&q=nigerian+oil+scam
And by the way, last year the TBI and FBI found a storefront operation set up to hide the operations of a mass mailing/emailing operation right here in the Nashville area. The office was set up JUST for that purpose. Apparently there are enough folks that actually fall for the
scam. It takes all kinds, ya know....
Congrats!!! ( extends secret handshake )
