I yawned hard on the way home from the theater tonight, and there was a sudden snap. It felt to me like my jaw had dislocated briefly and then re-located. And now it aches. Scary. I hope this is just a freak occurrence, and not something I'm going to need to watch out for from now on.

I also had something like this happen once, except in my case it sounded like the bone was cracking. (BTW, I have rather sever TMJ problems, which I assume are related). It was sore for a couple of days, but then went back to normal.

Go figure.
